Rest assured that your loved one receives comfort, support, and compassionate care in the final stages of their life. Reflections opened in 2009, making us the only nursing home in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin with a distinct community designed for palliative or end-of-life care. Our care team provides dignified care, while providing support for you and your family.
To accommodate you, your family, and your loved one our environment has:
Six spacious private rooms, each with a sofa sleeper
Fully furnished, complimentary apartment for guests
Family lounge with comfortable furnishings
Kitchenette that provides coffee, beverages, and snacks
Wireless internet and public computer
Large, bright dining room for family meals
Laundry room
Our care team's goal for your loved one is to manage their symptoms, reduce pain, provide spiritual support, and ultimately improve quality of life. With a focus on caring, not curing, our end-of-life care treats the person rather than the disease.
Holistic &
Interdisciplinary Care
Ensure care not only for your loved one's physical needs, but their emotional and spiritual needs as well. Because we emphasize the importance of caring for the whole person, our care team includes the patient's family physician, as well as a registered nurse, social worker, and dietitian. They are specially trained to provide anticipatory grief counseling to lessen feelings of powerlessness, fear, and guilt. In addition, our Director of Spiritual Care is also available to provide pastoral counseling, spiritual guidance, and opportunities for prayer for the entire family.
As a patient in Reflections, our care team:
Honors your right to dignity and respect
Affirms your choices
Manages your pain and other symptoms
Integrates psychosocial and spiritual care, including bereavement counseling
Offers a support system to help you and your family cope and grieve
Complimentary Guest Room
Stay close-by in our complimentary guest room. Although a sofa sleeper is conveniently located in your loved one's private room, you can also reserve our completely furnished guest room.

Prior to admission, we encourage you to begin completing advance directives, such as a living will, power of attorney for healthcare, and do not resuscitate (DNR) orders.
“I think you provide very good care at Wissota Health for my mother. You read to her and take her outside and do those things that she enjoys. I am very happy with the care she has gotten here.”
