New Director of Respiratory Therapy
January 2, 2013— Skilled Nursing Facility Announces New Director of Respiratory Therapy
Chippewa Falls - Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center has named Karen Gulich as the new Director of Respiratory Therapy. A Respiratory Therapist since 2008, Gulich is responsible for the management and training of the Ventilator Center's Respiratory Therapists. In addition, Gulich provides initial and continuous education to all Ventilator Center nurses and nurse aides. Gulich joins an experienced interdisciplinary management team that ensures quality outcomes for all Wissota Health patients.
Although the Ventilator Center is Gulich's primary focus, Respiratory Therapy is also available to those residents residing in the long-term, end-of-life, and rehabilitation specialty care units. A discipline not available at most skilled nursing facilities, the expertise of Respiratory Therapists at Wissota Health ensures an advanced level of care for patients with serious respiratory conditions.
Administrator Jeremy Kiley said, "Karen has done a fantastic job as the Lead Respiratory Therapist at the Ventilator Center. She brings new energy and attention to detail, which will benefit both patients and staff."
"I am excited to take on this new challenge. I believe that my training, experience, and supportive team members will make this a smooth transition." said Gulich.
Located next to St. Joseph's Hospital, referrals and admissions to Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center are accepted seven days a week. For more information, call (715) 723-9341 or visit www.wissotahealth.com.
