Receive the best in ventilator care. Since 1987, we have been providing progressive care with proven outcomes.
Our success has allowed us to expand our community and provide 24 private rooms. We are now the second largest ventilator community in Wisconsin.
You will appreciate knowing that our community is designed in a way that encourages you to be mobile, independent, and actively involved.
Focused on Choice
You are an integral part of your care team. Together, we develop a daily routine and care plan according to your preferences and needs. Enjoy a flexible meal plan that allows you to rise, dine, and participate in activities as you choose. Your ventilator is portable and can be attached to a wheelchair, so you have the freedom to move throughout our community and socialize. There are also regular activities and outings in the community.
A Team Approach to Your Care
Feel confident and secure, knowing you are supported by an accomplished and experienced team. Our weekly care rounds are a scheduled time for us to focus on all aspects of your care. Your care team is comprised of a:
Medical Director, Board-Certified Pulmonologist
Registered Nurse
Respiratory Therapist
Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists
Recreational Therapist
Dietitian
Social Worker
Benefit from a staffing ratio that is much higher than what you will find in most other skilled nursing facilities.

Modern

for Better
Communication & Independence
Improving your ability to communicate will give you greater independence. Technology used in our ventilator community includes:
Talking Valves
Communication Boards
Computer-Based Electronic Devices (Dynavox)
Highly Adapted Electric Wheelchairs with Portable Ventilators
State-of-the-Art Nurse Call System
Internet Access throughout the Community
Your safety is our #1 concern. That's why we took the extra step in 2010 and invested in an innovative, silent nurse call system. The system allows for a faster, more prepared response from our team.

Successful Weaning Program
Receive a high standard of ventilator care. We have a history of liberating patients from mechanical ventilation. This progressive, individualized process may include:
Assessing your current condition and abilities
Progressing as fast as you and your body allow
Liberating you from mechanical ventilation
Removing your trach as appropriate
Approximately two-thirds of our ventilator dependent patients have been able to successfully wean (liberate from the ventilator seven consecutive days). Our weaning program has been optimized over the years allowing many of our patients to return home.
“I am always impressed and pleased with the staff's commitment to quality service and caring expressions...”
